The BorgWarner Id tag looks like the one illustrated here. The tag is metal and rectangular. It is arched to the transfer case with a bolt at one end.
The identification tag provides the Build Code, the Assembly Code Number, the Serial Number, and the Assembly Number.
For the purpose of ordering an overhaul kit, master kit and or chain the Assembly Code Number (model number} is the one required.
