You been asking about the wire harness for the the JF506E and we heard you loud and clear. We now carry the internal and external wire harnesses for the JF506E / VW 09A 5 Speed automatic transmission used in Volkswagen vehicles.

The internal electrical wire harness can be damaged during the rebuilding procedure or when replacing the solenoids or valve body. With time the harness can become faulty and or brittle too.

Since this unit is electronically controlled it is important to visually inspect electrical components to make sure all is in good working order. The last thing you want is to have to open the transmission again.

Sensor, Sensor , Sensors for the Jatco 5 Speed JF506E

The JF506E (VW 09A) uses three sensors, the input, output and turbine sensor. This part is used with all the JF506Es and in all models and vehicle manufactures from the latest information available. When conducting a rebuild it is recommended all three be replaced; the price of each is low enough that it makes it sensible to do so.

Since the sensor became available and known to the general public and customers its sales are keeping up with the purchases of rebuild kits, solenoid kits and valve bodies.

JF506E Transmission Filter

The JF506E is known by several names depending on the vehicle manufacture. In Volkswagen the unit is known as the 09A; Mazda refers to is as the JA5A-EL, 5F31J and the RE5F01A.

There are three different filter configuration for the JF506-E:

- Round Pickup Tube: Jaguar and Mazda
- Rectangular .650" Pickup Tube: Volkswagen and Audi (Except VW Sharan)
- Rectangular 1.300" Pickup Tube: Land Rover and VW Sharan

JR403E Solenoids

These are the pictures for the solenoids used in the JR403E.

The TCC Solenoid is non-PWM and covers the years from 1988 and Up.

The Solenoid Assembly contains 4 solenoids and contains 2 insulated and one ground wire (1988-Up)

JF402E / JF405E Transmission Parts

The Jatco JF402E and JF405E share the same rebuild kit. This is a 4 speed front wheel drive automatic transmission. The rebuild kit is available as an overhaul kit (Seal and Sealing Ring Kit - pictured below), banner kit and master kit (all parts pictured below). The friction and and steel module is also available. Other parts like the filter will be coming soon.

JF506E Valve Body

The JF506E is manufactured by the Jatco company (Japanese Automatic Transmission Company) which produces automatic and CVT transmissions. Originally owned by Nissan and Mazda, Jatco is now an independent company and supplies transmissions to most major automobile companies.

The Jaguar and Volkswagen valve bodies look identical except that the VW valve body has the VW logo cast into it. Of the nine solenoids used in this valve body only 4 have double o-rings on the Jaguar and VW. Mazda has 7 double o-rings solenoids.

We offer premium remanufactured / rebuilt valve bodies. All the EPC solenoids are new and the shift solenoids are tested. The one pictured in this posting is the Volkswagen valve body remaned and tested.
