The NP136 transfer case gear box is used primarily in the Chevrolet Astro Van and the GMC Safari Van from 1998 and up.
This unit contains friction plates and steel plates. The master kit or also know as major kit does not contain the the frictions or steels and must be ordered separately and the exact amount of each is need to place the order.
Vehicles equipped with this unit are the GMC Chevy S-10 Blazer, Astro Van, S-15 Jimmy, Safari Van from 1998 and up, Bravada and Envoy from 1998 to 2001.
NP-136 uses a 1.00 inch wide by 49 links chain.
