The NP246 transfer gear case is used in the GMC Chevy pickup 1500, 2500 and 3500 models, and Suburban from 1998 and up; it is also used in the Avalanche from 2002 and up, Cadillac Escalade from 1999 and up and Tahoe and Yukon from 1998 and up.

NP-246 uses a 1.25 inch wide by 49 links chain with one blue link pattern or a 1.25 inch wide by 49 links chain with three blue link pattern.
