F4AET, F4AEL Solenoids

The F4AET is a 4 speed front wheel drive transmission. It is also know as the F4EAT, 4EAT-F, F4A-EL, ECAT and the F4E-III.

The Shift Solenoids and the Lockup or Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Solenoid are the same for all models. The EPC is the same for the Mazda and Ford, but different for the Kia.

Borg Warner Gear Transfer Case Kia WG-4424

The BW-4424 gear box is used in the Kia Sorento with the 3.5L engine with the part time, torque on demand (TOD) option and the full time all wheel drive (AWD) ESOF option from 2004 and up.

This gearbox has a casting number of 44-24 and uses a 1.00" inch wide by 31 link round pin design chain for the ESOF and a 1.25" inch wide by 37 link rocker pin design chain for the TOD.
