New Process Gear produces transfer cases and standard transmissions. Chrysler, Ford, GM and Jeep all use New Process transfer cases.
A transfer case is part of a four wheel drive and or an all wheel drive systems found in cars, trucks, SUVs and crossovers. Transfer case is connected to the transmission directly or remotely and to the front and rear axles via drive shaft. Some transfer cases are engaged manually and other electronically. In the case of an all wheel drive (AWD) system the unit is always on.
