KM-110 Non-Automatic Transmission

The KM110 is a standard transmission produced by the Mitsubishi Motor Company. It is a 4 speed rear wheel drive unit. The KM 110 was used in the Plymouth Arrow Car. Plymouth is a trademark of the Chrysler Corporation.

MSG-4ET Transmission

The MSG4ET is a 4 speed rear wheel drive manual transmission used in 4 wheel drive Isuzu pickup, PUP from 1981 to 1982 with the 1.8L, 1.9L and the 2.2L engines. This unit is a PTO style unit.

KM162 Standard Transmission

The KM-162 Manual Gearbox is manufactured by the Mitsubishi Motor Company. It is a 5 speed front wheel drive unit.

The KM 162 was used in the Mitsubishi:

    Cordia and Tredia from 1983 to 1988 with the 1.8 liter engine.

    Mirage from 1985 to 1986 with the 1.5 liter engine.

    Precis from 1986 -1989 with the 1.5 liter engine.

The KM 162 was also used in the Hyundai Excel and Pony from 1984 to 1989, 1.5L with no rear cover.

Both the Mitsubishi and the Hyundai transmission are made of aluminum and use a vacuum can.

Torque Converter Identification

Proper torque converter identification is important in order to obtain the correct configuration. In some cases other converters might fit and work but you might not be receiving the full benefits.

In some cases the year, make, model and engine size might sufficient for identifying the converter. In most instances the best way to accomplish this is by the codes on the converter.

Torque Converter Codes can be stamped, engraved or inked on the converter. Stickers or paint swabs are also used in identifying the converter.
