Who Let The Part Out For The CD4E

The electrical components are vital in an electronically controlled unit. One sensor or solenoid out of sync and the performance of the transmission suffers. The CD4E (LA4A-EL) are equipped with the following electrical parts:

- Switch, Manual Lever Position (MLPS)
- Solenoid Assembly (Replaces 96420 & 96420C)
- Output Speed Sensor (VSS) (2 Prong Connector) with Drive Gear (Ford Probe / Mazda)
- Output Speed Sensor (VSS) (2 Prong Connector) No Drive Gear
- Output Speed Sensor (VSS) (10" Harness) with Cable Drive
- Output Speed Sensor (VSS) (10" Harness) No Cable Drive (2.0L)
- Output Speed Sensor (VSS) (16" Harness) No Cable Drive (2.5L)
- Input Speed Sensor (TSS) Plastic Bracket (with Beige Connector) (Ford Probe / Mazda)
- Input Speed Sensor (TSS) Plastic Bracket (with Black Connector) (Except Ford Probe / Mazda)

The thrust washers is of special notice in the CD4E and should be given the attention it deserves to eliminate any possibility of have to go back in to replace just this part.
