The Intermediate Shaft is also referred to as the Sun Gear Shaft or the Final Drive Shaft. The shaft works with the Final Drive Ring Gear and Sun Gear. Below are pictures of this shaft.
THM-125 Intermediate Shaft
The GM THM125, or the 3T40 as it is now known, is a 3 speed front wheel drive transmission used in the Beretta and Lumina APV just to name a couple. The THM-125 is the version without lockup, where as the THM125C comes with Lockup.
