The year group of 1999 to 2001 a sub-piston kit might be necessary. It seems the 4x4 version of the transmission contains a slightly different size in one or two of the pistons and there could be a difference in piston size depending where the unit was manufactured.
Although not necessary in all circumstances it might be prudent to order the sub-kit when ordering the master kit with pistons or the piston kit.
